Dr. Navid Goudarzi team research at UNC Charlotte is focused on exploring and developing novel fundamental and applied solutions (both research and educational) to support and expedite the deployment of renewable ocean energy technologies. To achieve this goal, the team defines the project objectives under an integrated multidisciplinary contract-performance design scheme and employs a combination of physics-based (e.g. computational and experimental fluid dynamics methods) and data-based (e.g. machine learning methods) techniques to explore the research questions driven by the hypothesis.
